Summary
The HVAC Apprentice will assist in the installation of commercial HVAC systems and related components while working alongside experienced technicians and foremen. This position is ideal for individuals seeking to begin a long-term career in the skilled trades.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation of commercial HVAC systems
- Install sheet metal ductwork and HVAC equipment
- Help set and mount HVAC equipment
- Assist with rough-in and trim duct systems
- Cut, thread, and assemble piping as needed
- Learn to connect controls and equipment according to wiring diagrams
- Follow all safety procedures and company standards
- Maintain a clean and organized job site
- Ensure customer satisfaction through quality workmanship
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- No experience required; mechanical aptitude is a plus
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Dependable, honest, and self-motivated
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions and construction environments
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds safely
