We are is seeking an experienced Senior Commercial HVAC Service Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for servicing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining commercial HVAC equipment, including Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) systems. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated professional who can work independently while delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining a strong commitment to safety.

Schedule

  • Monday through Friday
  • 8-hour shifts
  • Overtime available
  • Rotating 7-day on-call schedule

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems
  • Service boilers, chillers, fans, pumps, valves, thermostats, motors, and related equipment
  • Install, commission, and troubleshoot VRF systems
  • Perform preventative maintenance and system inspections
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues
  • Work with copper tubing and piping, including cutting, threading, testing, and insulating
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders
  • Complete service documentation and billing paperwork accurately
  • Respond to emergency service calls while on-call
  • Follow all safety standards, building codes, and company procedures
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of commercial HVAC, refrigeration, or plumbing experience
  • HVAC license required
  • Brazing license required
  • Universal EPA Refrigerant Certification required
  • Journeyman HVAC license preferred
  • Hydronic or plumbing licenses are a plus
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to participate in a rotating on-call schedule
  • Ability to work safely on active construction sites

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Direct Digital Controls (DDC)
  • Basic understanding of network systems, including TCP/IP and RS-485
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

Work Environment

  • Work performed in both office and field settings
  • Exposure to varying weather conditions, heights, mechanical equipment, and loud environments
  • Flexibility to work extended hours as needed
  • Regular travel to customer job sites

Physical Requirements

  • Stand and walk for extended periods
  • Lift and carry 50+ pounds
  • Frequently bend, kneel, crouch, and reach
  • Ability to access all areas of commercial and industrial job sites
