Territory: Wyoming through Dickinson, North Dakota
Position type: Salaried | Regular territory travel required
The Opportunity
All Electric and YES are hiring a Business Development Representative to grow our oil and gas business across Wyoming and the corridor through Dickinson, North Dakota. This semi-regional role is an opportunity to build customer relationships, open new accounts, and connect customers with electrical and related services offered by our teams.
We are looking for someone who takes initiative, follows through, and is comfortable meeting customers in the field. You will work closely with operations, estimating, and project leadership at both companies to turn customer needs into qualified opportunities and support lasting relationships.
What You Will Do
- Build and grow relationships with oil and gas operators, producers, midstream companies, facility owners, and engineering and construction firms.
- Develop new business and expand existing accounts across the Wyoming to Dickinson territory through prospecting, customer visits, and consistent follow-up.
- Identify project, maintenance, and service opportunities at production facilities, processing sites, compressor and pump stations, pipelines, and terminals.
- Represent All Electric and YES, match customer needs with each company’s capabilities, and coordinate opportunities across both teams.
- Work with operations and estimating to qualify leads, coordinate site visits, support proposals, and follow up on bids.
- Help transition awarded work to project teams and stay connected with customers throughout delivery.
- Keep accurate customer and opportunity records, provide weekly pipeline updates, and help develop sales forecasts and territory plans.
- Attend customer meetings and industry events, and follow company and customer safety requirements during site visits.
What You Bring
- Preferably 3 to 5 years of sales, business development, or account management experience, or equivalent training. Oil and gas or industrial customer experience is strongly preferred.
- An understanding of electrical contracting or related industrial services, with the ability to involve technical teams when needed.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to manage your schedule independently, cover multiple markets, and follow through on customer commitments.
- Comfort using Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and customer relationship or work order systems.
- A valid driver’s license, an acceptable driving record, and the ability to complete the company’s background screening process.
Travel and Work Environment
Expect a mix of office work, customer meetings, and visits to active oil and gas facilities. Regular travel throughout the territory is required, with overnight travel as business needs dictate. The role includes computer work, driving, and walking at customer sites, including uneven surfaces. Duties may be performed with reasonable accommodation.
Our Values
Accountability, reliability, integrity, safety, and communication guide how we work with customers and each other. We are looking for someone who shares these values and takes pride in delivering dependable results.
